We dry-humped. Like teenagers. It was hot as fuck.

I didn’t plan on that. On any of it. Once we started, I was just hoping to give Kali some release. However, as soon as she started grinding on me, I came embarrassingly quick.

The look in her eyes, the sounds she made when she moved against me. I’ve had a taste of it, and I want more. So much more.

On Fridays we get let off work at three, and I join my boss and a couple of the other guys on site for a drink at a local bar. I’ve never struggled with resisting alcohol since I got clean. I don’t feel the urge for a beer that often and am happy being the guy who’s clear-headed. Alcohol was never really my vice anyway.

“Alright, spill it, Peaches,” Sonny, the site foreman demands as we slide into a booth.

“Spill what?”

“Don’t even start that shit boy,” he orders, rapping his knuckles on the table. “I know something happened with the firecracker. You’ve had pep in your step all day.”

The work boys have got sporadic updates about Kali since I started working with them. I can’t help but talk about her with a shit-eating grin on my face most days. They give me a lot of crap for it and somewhere along the way they gave me the nickname Peaches because of it.

“Pep in my step?” I ask incredulously.

“You’re acting all …” Sonny moves his arms to try to explain. “Loose and light.”

“I just really love Fridays.” I snicker as Sonny huffs out an impatient sigh. “Nothing’s happened. Not really.”

Sonny’s eyes brighten. “Aha! So, something happened.”

“What happened?”

Jared, another carpenter and Bill, my boss, join us with drinks.

“Nothing happened,” I assure him.

Sonny scoffs, shaking his shaggy black hair out of his eyes. “Bullshit. Peaches got lucky.”

Jared’s mouth makes an ‘o’ shape as he plops down next to Sonny. “Finally!”

“I didn’t get lucky.”

“But something happened,” Sonny insists. Jared leans in on his forearms, sliding a beer over to Sonny.

Bill sits down next to me with a tired groan and slides me a ginger beer. “Listen to you bloody gossips. Shut up and drink your beers.”

“Cheers, boss,” I say.

Sonny ignores him. “Come on. Details. You never give us details.”

“I’m never giving you details.”

Sonny grins. “She’s working her vixen magic on you. You’re going soft.”

“God, you talk some shit.”

Sonny feigns offence. “I am outraged.”

“You are not.” My phone buzzes in my pocket and I slide it out, unable to hide my elated surprise when I see Kali’s name on the screen. “Sup, Red?”

“Bonetti, I need a favour.” Her voice is a drug. She could ask me for anything right now and I’d do it.

“So soon? You’ve had a taste and now you want more?” Sonny leans in to listen and I shove my hand against his head.

“I knew it was a mistake to call you,” she groans. “Forget it, I can’t be-”

“Easy, easy. I’m only playing. What do you need?”
